SHREWSBURY STUDENT AVOIDS JAIL AFTER SICK CHILD ABUSE IMAGE COLLECTION
A paedophile university student named Louis Williamson, aged 28, who was found to possess a collection of child abuse images and videos, has avoided jail. The court was told that Williamson had in his possession a 'sick' stash of child abuse material, including a video of a six-year-old being raped.
Police had conducted a raid on his home in Shrewsbury on January 15, 2022, after receiving intelligence that indecent images had been downloaded there.
Williamson admitted to law enforcement that he was aware of the offenses and provided passwords to multiple devices, including an iPad, MacBook, and Samsung Galaxy phone.
Forensic examinations revealed his devices contained 177 Category A images, which depict the most depraved forms of child sexual abuse, alongside 48 Category B and 26 Category C images.
The devices also held three prohibited images of children and one extreme pornographic image involving a human and an animal.
Additionally, Williamson shared one Category A image and one Category C image online.
Despite the severity of the material, he has not faced imprisonment.
