LISA CONNOR AND KEVIN QUINN SENTENCED FOR CHILD CRUELTY IN ISLE OF WIGHT
In August 2006, a man and woman were sentenced to prison after admitting to child cruelty charges.
At IW Crown Court last Friday, Lisa Connor, 33, of Leed Street, Sandown, received a six-month prison term following her guilty plea to two charges involving children.
Judge Richard Price also sentenced Kevin Barry Quinn, 45, of Greenlands Road, East Cowes, to nine months in prison after he pleaded guilty to two similar charges.
The incident occurred following a night of drinking, and police were alerted to the children's situation by a passing judge.
The court was informed that Connor had stopped drinking excessively, and Quinn had sought assistance for his alcohol problems.
