A man convicted of sexually abusing a teenage girl over a period of seven months has received a prison sentence.
Linden Chirico, aged 38, engaged in inappropriate touching and encouraged the girl to touch him multiple times between January and July 2022.
While he confessed to the offences during an initial police interview, admitting that all incidents occurred in the East Cambridgeshire area, he later denied the allegations in a subsequent interview.
On 16 April, at Cambridge Crown Court, Chirico, residing on Close Road in Pavenham near Bedford, was sentenced to seven years in prison after being convicted of two counts of engaging in penetrative sexual acts with a girl, along with one count each of non-penetrative sexual activity involving a girl and incitement to engage in sexual activity without penetration.
Additionally, he was issued a ten-year sexual harm prevention order, a lifelong order banning him from contact, and was required to register as a sex offender indefinitely.
