ST HELENS MAN BROUGHT TO JUSTICE FOR THREATS AND DOMESTIC ABUSE
On August 8 2024 at 9.15pm police received a report of an ongoing domestic incident involving Lewis Mahoney, 33, of Spray Street, St Helens.Prosecutor Angela Conlan explained that Ms Conlan said: "The police arrived at the scene and spoke to the victim, who reported that Mahoney had threatened to destroy her property and had been abusive towards her." It was revealed that Mahoney had previously been given a suspended sentence in April of the previous year for coercive and controlling behaviour.
Mahoney was found guilty of making threats to damage property and was also under investigation for breaching a restraining order, which he did not obey.
The court heard that Ring doorbell footage captured Mahoney approaching the victim's vehicle and threatening to throw a brick through her window if she didn't open it.
He admitted to breaching a suspended sentence for coercive and controlling behaviour and was bailed to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on March 27 for sentencing.
