RISCA MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY TO STRANGLING AND ASSAULTING WOMAN
A MAN accused of strangling and assaulting woman is to stand trial.Lewis Johnson, 33, of Holly Road, Ty Sign, Risca pleaded not guilty to intentional strangulation and assault occasioning actual bodily harm on November 17, 2025.
Judge Lucy Crowther set a trial date of June 9, 2026, with the case expected to last three days.
The defendant was remanded in custody after he appeared at Cardiff Crown Court.
Johnson was defended by Alice Sykes with Charles Archer appearing for the prosecution.
