LEWIS HARRIS FROM BASILDON CHARGED AFTER KNIFE THREAT AND ASSAULT NEAR BALLARDS WALK

A 19-year-old man named Lewis Harris, hailing from Burches in Basildon, has been formally charged following a serious incident that prompted a swift police response in the area. The events unfolded around the busy location of Ballards Walk in Basildon, where witnesses reported a man brandishing a knife and making threatening gestures towards bystanders.

According to police reports, Lewis Harris was seen threatening others with the weapon, creating a tense and dangerous situation in a public space. As officers arrived on the scene to intervene, Harris attempted to flee the scene, during which he committed an act of violence by kicking a stroller that was carrying a young child.
