BLACKPOOL MAN LEWIS BLACKWELL ARRESTED AFTER CHILD ONLINE SAFETY TEAM UK STING

Lewis Blackwell, from Blackpool, was arrested on 14 September 2025 following a sting operation carried out by the Child Online Safety Team UK (COST).

Blackwell was caught engaging in sexual communication with a child — despite already being on bail for identical offences.

After COST alerted Lancashire Police at 5:30 pm, Blackwell was taken into custody just two hours later.

At a hearing on 16 September 2025 at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court, he pleaded guilty to the charges and was remanded in custody.

His sentencing is scheduled for 28 October 2025 at Preston Crown Court.
