TELFORD DOMESTIC ABUSER SENTENCED AFTER BITING PARTNER IN CANARY ISLANDS
Lee McLaughlin, aged 47 and residing in Summerhill, Sutton Hill, Telford, has been sentenced at Shrewsbury Crown Court, sitting in Telford Justice Centre, after admitting to three charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
The prosecution, represented by Dylan Wagg, revealed that these incidents occurred over the duration of a long-term relationship.
The court heard that McLaughlin would verbally abuse his partner and also resorted to physical violence on multiple occasions.
Specifically, there was an incident in the Canary Islands where McLaughlin threw a table at his partner, punched her in the face, and bit her leg.
The court warned McLaughlin about his future behaviour following his guilty plea.
