Relating to a time period between May 2020 and November 2022, the charges against him include the attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child and the attempt to incite a 14-year-old boy to engage in sexual activity.The 50-year-old was also charged with three counts of making an indecent photograph/ pseudo-photograph of a child, and one charge of distributing an indecent photograph/ pseudo-photograph of a child.With Ellison indicating guilty pleas to all charges at a previous hearing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court in October 2024, he learned of his sentence at Bolton Crown Court this week.Ellison was handed a three-year community order and must attend various courses.The 50-year-old was also given a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and Certificate of Conviction for a 10 year period.He is also required to pay a victim surcharge of 114 and must comply with an order of forfeiture and destruction of computer equipment and mobile phones
