GLOUCESTER TEEN KYLE DAVIES JAILED FOR MASS SHOOTING PLOT
The article reports that Kyle Davies, a juvenile from Gloucester, was found guilty of planning a mass shooting and has been sentenced to 16 years in prison. He attempted to buy a handgun and ammunition for £1,000 from a dark web dealer.
Following a trial in July at Gloucester Crown Court, Judge Paul Cook stated that Davies "had the intention to endanger life in a shooting event." The court uncovered that Davies viewed mass murderers like those involved in the Columbine massacre and Norwegian extremist Breivik as "poster boys." The authorities intercepted a package containing the weapon and ammunition ordered by Davies in the USA, which was replaced with a dummy by undercover officers leading to his arrest at his home.
A search of his residence revealed computer files and notes about mass killers, and he falsely claimed he bought the weapon to commit suicide.
He also drew images of victims of mass murders and was convicted of attempting to evade import restrictions on firearms and possession of indecent images of children, involving 250 images and two videos.
He received additional sentences for these charges, with a concurrent six-month term for the indecent images.
Overall, Davies was sentenced for multiple offences related to firearm possession, mass murder planning, and child indecency, with a significant prison term at Gloucester Crown Court.
