KURT ALEXANDER'S SHOCKING CRIMES IN KEIGHLEY AND BEYOND: PAEDOPHILE'S REPEATED OFFENSES AND JAIL SENTENCE

In a disturbing series of events that have shocked the community of Keighley, Kurt Alexander, a man with a long history of sexual offenses, has once again found himself behind bars.

His latest arrest occurred in April during the school holidays, when he was discovered in the toilets of an Asda supermarket in Keighley, sweating profusely and in possession of three pairs of girls’ knickers.

This incident has added to his troubling criminal record, which spans over a decade and includes multiple breaches of court orders and possession of indecent images of children.

Alexander, who is 56 years old and resides on Mason Street in Colne, has a notorious past.

He was originally sentenced in 2011 to eight years in prison after being convicted of a range of sexual assault charges and possession of indecent images.

Despite serving his sentence, he was repeatedly recalled to prison for violating the terms of his release, including breaching a sexual offences prevention order and failing to comply with notification requirements.

His release in February was short-lived, as just five days later, police found him conducting online searches related to the sexual abuse of children and girls’ underwear.

During the police investigation following his April arrest, authorities uncovered a disturbing collection of evidence.

In his possession, officers found a pair of girls’ knickers belonging to a child aged between five and six, along with two additional pairs stored in a washing powder box.

A micro-SD card recovered from him contained images of children, including eight category C pictures depicting young girls aged between 12 and 14 in bikinis.

Further examination revealed that Alexander had zoomed into their genital areas in these images, indicating an intent to create indecent images.

Prosecutor Cecilia Pritchard detailed the findings, stating that since his release, police had also discovered nappies and children’s underwear at his residence.

She explained that on April 3 at 2:30 pm, Alexander’s offender manager responded to reports of his suspicious activity in Keighley town centre.

Officers located him in the men’s toilets at Asda, where he was sweating heavily.

When questioned, he handed over an Alcatel mobile phone, but officers noticed a Huawei smartphone in his top pocket, which he was also asked to produce.

He was subsequently arrested for breaching his sexual offences prevention order and taken to the police station.

During the journey, Alexander admitted to wanting to plead guilty to all charges.

In the course of the investigation, police also found a pair of girls’ knickers and additional images on his devices.

Alexander’s guilty plea was entered at the earliest opportunity, and he admitted to making indecent images of children, failing to comply with notification requirements, and breaching his sexual offences order.

The images found on his devices included photographs of young girls in bikinis, with some images zoomed into their genital areas, which constitutes the creation of indecent images.

Alexander’s criminal history is extensive.

He has two previous convictions for 24 offences, including the possession of over 6,000 indecent images and videos of children, as well as indecent assault on three young children, some as young as four years old.

His crimes also involved images of bestiality.

His arrest was triggered when he took his computer to a repair shop in Canvey, where an employee noticed the disturbing images on his hard drive and alerted authorities.

A subsequent police raid at his home in Canvey uncovered further illicit material, including a memory card with additional images.

During his court appearance at Preston Crown Court, Alexander appeared in the dock clutching a Bible with rosary beads around his neck.

The court heard that he had been monitored by police since his release, during which time he was found in possession of nappies and reading a book about child rape in a library.

Despite being prescribed anti-libido medication, he had stopped taking it.

His latest offense in Keighley, involving the toilets incident, was described as a deliberate breach of court orders, with police finding him in possession of two phones, three pairs of girls’ knickers, and a tourist leaflet with pictures of children.

Judge Daniel Prowse sentenced Alexander to two years in prison and ordered that he be subject to lifetime notification requirements.

His previous sexual harm prevention order was replaced with an indefinite order, reflecting the severity of his ongoing risk to the public.

The judge acknowledged Alexander’s frankness with probation officers but expressed deep concern over his admitted attraction to children, his arousal from nappies and children’s underwear, and his deliberate breaches of court orders.

The court’s decision underscores the ongoing danger posed by Alexander, who has a long and disturbing history of sexual offenses against children.
