MAN WHO MURDERED SISTER AND ENDANGERED LIFE OF NIECE JAILED
A man responsible for killing his sister and putting his 12-year-old niece at risk during an arson attack will serve a minimum of 24 years behind bars.
Kornelijus Bracas appeared before Belfast Crown Court after admitting guilt to murder aggravated by domestic abuse in October.
He received a life sentence at that hearing and has now been informed that he will spend at least 24 years incarcerated.
In March 2023, Bracas killed his sister, Alesia Nazarova, in her residence in Portadown.
During the incident, he set a fire intentionally, endangering her 12-year-old daughter who was present at the time.
