TEACHER BANNED AFTER ASKING PUPIL TO TAKE BIKINI PHOTOS ON HOLIDAY
A teacher named Kieran Harker has been banned from teaching indefinitely after being found guilty of misconduct involving multiple schoolgirls at Newmarket Academy near Cambridge.
During 14 months of employment, he was accused of inappropriately touching eight pupils, including placing his hand on their lower backs and thighs, and rubbing their backs and thighs outside classrooms.
One girl reported he requested her to take bikini photos during a holiday, suggesting he wanted to see the pictures for himself.
He also sent inappropriate emails and wrote 'love you' in a student's planner, making her feel uncomfortable.
He admitted some inappropriate contact during a disciplinary hearing, acknowledging it was wrong and expressing regret.
Harker was banned from teaching indefinitely with a review date in two years, following testimonies from three pupils who provided evidence of his misconduct.
