KHANDARKAR JESAN SHOCKS SWANSEA WITH BRUTAL ATTACK ON WIFE ON CAEBRICKS ROAD
Khandakar Jesan, a 27-year-old man, was convicted of a violent assault against his wife that took place at their home on Caebricks Road in Swansea. The incident unfolded on the evening of May 10, following a heated argument centered around their children’s bedtime routines. The disagreement quickly escalated into a physical confrontation that left the victim severely injured.According to court reports, the altercation began when Jesan refused to help his wife put their children to bed. During the dispute, Jesan took their youngest child into the living room and placed him on his wife, all while hurling offensive insults at her. The situation rapidly deteriorated as Jesan then physically attacked her, delivering a punch to her face that resulted in bleeding from her nose and mouth. He also slapped her multiple times, further assaulting her in a violent outburst.
In a disturbing twist, Jesan did not use a pink high-heeled shoe as initially thought; instead, he struck her with a chair. The assault escalated further when Jesan grabbed his wife by the throat for approximately five seconds, during which he threatened to kill her. Despite the severity of the attack, Jesan’s violence did not cease. About ten minutes later, he continued his assault by hitting her shoulders and back with a shoe, all while their young children, aged 16 months and three years, were present in the same room, witnessing the violence.
The victim sustained multiple injuries, including swelling, lumps, bruises, and cuts across her face, head, neck, shoulders, and leg. The court heard that Jesan had previously pleaded guilty to making threats to kill and to assault occasioning actual bodily harm, indicating a pattern of aggressive behavior.
In sentencing, Jesan was ordered to serve 18 months in prison. The sentence was structured so that he would serve half of it behind bars, with the remainder on license. Additionally, a restraining order was issued, prohibiting him from making any contact with his wife for a period of five years. The court acknowledged that Jesan had only recently arrived in the UK, having been in the country for just a few weeks, and noted that he expressed remorse for his actions during the proceedings.
