ACCREDITED RAPIST KEVIN WYATT ON THE LOOSE IN ACCRINGTON AND SURROUNDING AREAS
In September 2021, authorities issued a serious warning to the public regarding Kevin Wyatt, also known as David Edge, a convicted violent rapist who is currently on the run and considered highly dangerous.Wyatt, aged 37, was last seen leaving approved premises in Accrington earlier this month and has since failed to return, prompting a police manhunt.
Wyatt was sentenced to a decade in prison after being convicted at Preston Crown Court in April 2016 for two counts of rape.
His criminal record and the severity of his crimes have led law enforcement to treat him as a high-risk offender, urging the public not to approach him under any circumstances.
He is described as a white male, approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall, with a stocky build.
Wyatt bears several distinctive tattoos, including a cross with the word ‘Grandma’ on his left arm, the phrase ‘2 GUNS’ inked across his back, and a bird tattooed on his chest.
These markings may aid in identification should he be spotted.
Law enforcement officials have established that Wyatt maintains connections to multiple locations across northern England.
His known links include several areas in Cumbria such as Barrow-in-Furness, Whitehaven, Carlisle, and Dalton-in-Furness.
Additionally, he has ties to Blackpool and Worcester, which could potentially be places he might travel to or seek refuge in.
Detective Constable Kyle Hazelaar of Lancashire Police expressed grave concern over Wyatt’s disappearance.
He emphasized the danger Wyatt poses, stating, “Wyatt is wanted on prison recall after failing to return to approved premises.
He is considered a high risk offender and he should not be approached.
