MANCHESTER SEX OFFENDER KEVIN WYATT HANDED LIFE SENTENCE FOR BRUTALITY
A convicted sex offender masqueraded as a plumber before launching an attack on a disabled woman.
Kevin Wyatt, 41, was sentenced to a decade behind bars in 2010 after he raped a woman, having gagged her with a sock and covered her head with a pillow.
He was released midway through his sentence before he absconded from his 'approved premises' in 2021.
In June last year, Wyatt feigned being a plumber and paid a visit to a woman's home in east Manchester.
Manchester Crown Court heard the woman was vulnerable, suffered from multiple health conditions and relied on a wheelchair.
After pretending to carry out work, Wyatt returned.
He requested to be allowed back inside to gather more information.
Wyatt forced the woman out of her wheelchair before raping her.
He remained at the property, preventing his victim from escaping, before raping her again, reports the Manchester Evening News.
Wyatt subsequently forced her to accompany him to a cash machine at knifepoint and demanded she withdraw £120.
