KEVIN RUMBLE FROM NEWBURY SENT TO CROWN COURT AFTER ADMITTING CHILD SEX OFFENCES

A man is waiting to be sentenced for child sex offences.

Kevin Rumble appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, April 29.

The 40-year-old, who lives in Oddfellows Road, Newbury, admitted intentionally communicating with a child for sexual gratification by sending explicit images and engaging in sexual conversation.

He further admitted trying to cause a child aged 14 to look at an image of a person engaging in sexual activity, for the same purpose.

Both offences were committed in Berkshire between April 19 and June 9, 2023.

Magistrates declined further jurisdiction and sent the case to be dealt with by a judge with greater sentencing powers than their own sitting at Reading Crown Court on a date to be fixed.

Rumble was meanwhile released on bail.
