BIRMINGHAM MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO MULTIPLE UPSKIRTING CHARGES OUTSIDE SCHOOL
Kevin Gilmore, aged 41, of Redacre Road, Sutton Coldfield, filmed up girls' skirts outside a Birmingham school, an offence known as 'upskirting'.He appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on January 8 and pleaded guilty to six charges of recording an image under clothing without consent.
The court heard that a witness saw Gilmore wearing high-visibility clothing and hiding a camera among leaves at Wylde Green Railway Station on August 2, 2023.
Members of the public found the camera and challenged him.
Gilmore accepted the phone was his and claimed he tried to retrieve it when challenged; he had previously disappeared when police attempted to arrest him for similar behaviour on August 27.
Police later seized a Samsung phone containing illegal videos.
The case was adjourned for sentencing later this year, with Gilmore granted bail.
