The incident, which took place last October, involved a terrifying sequence of events that left the victim, Audrey Cabena, 36, deeply traumatized.According to court proceedings, Crichton followed Ms. Cabena as she left the nightclub, tracking her movements as she headed towards her home. The court detailed how, without warning, Crichton launched a brutal attack from behind, forcing her to the ground in a violent assault. During the ordeal, he forcibly inserted his fingers into her mouth in an attempt to silence her screams, leaving her feeling helpless and terrified.
The court heard that the attack was unprovoked and carried out on a woman who was defenseless at the time. Sheriff James Tierney described the incident as 'dreadful and unprovoked,' emphasizing the severity and brutality of the assault. In his sentencing, Sheriff Tierney ordered Crichton to pay a compensation fee of £3000 to the victim and mandated that he complete 275 hours of community service as part of his punishment.
