Cameron Anderson, a 27-year-old man from Blairgowrie, has been identified as a repeat offender involved in a series of domestic abuse incidents that have sent shockwaves through the local community in Perthshire.

His violent actions culminated in a brutal assault on two women, one of whom was his own girlfriend, while the other was her friend, Carina Moreira.

According to court reports, Anderson's violence was triggered during a heated confrontation over messages he received on his phone, which he was suspected of exchanging with other women.

During this altercation, Anderson lost control and physically attacked his girlfriend, pushing her forcefully onto a glass table.

The impact caused her to fall and sustain a head injury, highlighting the severity of his assault.

In addition to this, Anderson did not stop there.

When Miss Moreira, who had intervened to defend her friend, attempted to de-escalate the situation, Anderson responded with further violence.

He admitted to pushing her, kicking her, and biting her, actions that demonstrated a clear pattern of aggressive behavior and disregard for the safety of those involved.

Following his arrest, Anderson was initially released on bail.

However, just hours later, he was found in his girlfriend’s bed, flagrantly violating a court order that explicitly prohibited him from approaching her.

This breach of court conditions underscored his blatant disrespect for legal restrictions and his ongoing threat to the victims.

During the court proceedings at Perth Sheriff Court, Anderson expressed a disturbing emotional detachment, claiming he felt 'nothing' after committing these violent acts.

Despite this, he also told the court that he was 'terrified' of the prospect of imprisonment, revealing a complex and troubling attitude towards his actions.

In court, Anderson pleaded guilty to the assault charges but attempted to minimize the severity of his conduct.

He stated that he only resorted to hitting when he was 'mad or you're in my face,' a justification that failed to mitigate the seriousness of his violence.

As a result of his convictions, the court sentenced Anderson to a community-based punishment.

He was ordered to complete 250 hours of unpaid work and placed under supervision for a period of two years.

Additionally, a non-harassment order was issued to protect the victims from further contact or intimidation by Anderson, aiming to prevent any future incidents of domestic abuse in Blairgowrie and the wider Perthshire area.
