KEVIN CARTER FROM NEW ADDINGTON CAUGHT WITH THOUSANDS OF CHILD AND ANIMAL ABUSE IMAGES

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of New Addington, Kevin Carter, a 55-year-old resident of the area, has been found in possession of an alarming collection of illegal and highly disturbing images. The authorities uncovered over 2,700 images depicting child abuse, alongside graphic and repulsive images of animal pornography, during a police raid at his residence.

On the morning of Tuesday, July 24, Carter appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court to face serious charges related to the possession and distribution of child exploitation material, as well as extreme animal porn. The court proceedings revealed the extent of Carter’s alleged offenses, which include possessing a vast array of indecent images of children, some of the most severe and disturbing in nature.

According to court records, police officers executed a search warrant at Carter’s home on Chertsey Crescent, where they seized various electronic devices and equipment believed to contain illicit material. The investigation was initiated after authorities obtained evidence of illegal activity, leading to the discovery of a significant catalogue of child abuse images stored on Carter’s devices.

The police findings, dated May 31 of the previous year, detailed the presence of 401 images classified as Category A, indicating the most extreme forms of child sexual abuse, including depictions of full sexual intercourse involving minors. Additionally, over 1,000 images fell into Category B, which involves less severe but still illegal forms of sexual exploitation of children. An additional 1,300 images were identified that did not fall into the specific categories but were nonetheless indecent and illegal.

The investigation also uncovered 17 images of extreme animal pornography, with one particularly heinous image described as “grossly offensive,” showing a sexual act being performed on a dog. This particular image was listed among the charges against Carter, highlighting the depravity of the material he possessed.

Prosecutor Maria Slater stated during the hearing, “A search warrant was issued for the defendant’s home. Equipment was seized by the police which revealed various categories of indecent images of children.” She further explained that Carter faced multiple counts, including three charges of possessing indecent images of children, three counts of distributing such images, and one count of possessing an image depicting sexual activity with an animal.

In court, Carter pleaded guilty to all charges, which included possession and distribution of child abuse images and the animal pornographic material. The judge, District Judge Alexander Jacobs, considered the seriousness of the case and the defendant’s apparent obsession with such material. Despite the gravity of the charges, Carter was granted unconditional bail pending sentencing.

Defense solicitor Glen Fell addressed the court, expressing concern for Carter’s future and emphasizing that his client was unlikely to engage in any reckless behavior before sentencing. The court scheduled the sentencing hearing to take place at Croydon Crown Court, with the date to be confirmed in due course.
