RAPIST JAILED FOR SIX YEARS OF ABUSE OF YOUNG GIRL

A man convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl over a period of six years has been sentenced to prison without displaying any remorse for his actions.

In 2020, Lancashire police were alerted to reports from an adult woman claiming she had been sexually abused and raped by Kenneth Paisley, who is 68 years old and resides in Chatsworth Square, Carlisle, during her childhood.

She disclosed that the abuse spanned approximately six years, and as a consequence of the rape, she became pregnant while still a minor.

Paisley was taken into custody and released on bail while investigators continued their inquiries.

Subsequent DNA evidence led to his further arrest, during which he issued a statement acknowledging he was the biological father of the woman’s child but accused her of initiating the consensual sexual activity.

Following discussions with the Crown Prosecution Service, Paisley faced charges including 13 counts of rape, indecent assault, and three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.

He denied the charges, but the jury concluded that his claims were false, and he was convicted on all 13 counts of rape.

Earlier this month, he received a sentence of 22 years in prison and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
