KEITH MILLER FROM BREIGHTMET SENTENCED FOR RAPE AND SEXUAL ABUSE IN BOLTON

In a case that has shocked the local community of Breightmet and the wider Bolton area, Keith Miller, a man aged 31 at the time, was convicted of serious sexual offenses involving a young girl. The incidents occurred over a span of three years, during which the victim was between the ages of 15 and 18. Miller, who resided on Winchester Way in Breightmet, was found guilty of multiple charges related to the sexual abuse of a minor.

According to court proceedings, Miller would clandestinely enter the girl’s bedroom during the night, where he committed acts of sexual assault before leaving her premises. The court heard that these disturbing incidents took place on several occasions, with Miller being responsible for two counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault, and two counts of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child. He was also acquitted of one additional count of sexual assault.

The court's investigation revealed that the two rapes occurred between January 2005 and January 2006. The severity of the crimes led to Miller being sentenced to a total of 12 years in prison. As part of his sentence, he was ordered to register as a sex offender for life, a measure designed to monitor and restrict his activities following his release.

Keith Miller, who was 37 years old at the time of his release in October 2014, was scheduled to be released during the first week of October 2014. Following his release, he was placed under probation supervision until October 2020, ensuring ongoing oversight of his conduct and compliance with legal restrictions.
