KEITH GREENHILL'S BRUTAL FORFAR DOMESTIC ABUSE REIGN OF TERROR REVEALED

Keith Greenhill, a resident of Goosecroft in Forfar, has been found guilty after a protracted trial of a disturbing and prolonged campaign of domestic violence and abuse spanning over four years. The court heard how Greenhill subjected a woman to a series of violent and controlling behaviors, with the jury ultimately convicting him of multiple assaults and acts of abuse.

Among the most heinous acts committed by Greenhill were attacks involving household objects and dangerous substances. It was revealed that he assaulted the victim with a frying pan and poured boiling oil over her, resulting in severe injuries and leaving her with permanent disfigurement. These violent episodes were part of a broader pattern of abusive conduct that persisted from April 2019 until February 2023, across various locations within Forfar.

The court detailed how Greenhill’s abuse extended beyond physical violence to psychological and emotional control. He was found to have stalked the victim, closely monitoring her movements and restricting her freedom. Evidence showed that he prevented her from going to the toilet without his supervision and installed cameras in their shared home to keep her under constant surveillance. His tactics of intimidation included seizing her phone, pushing her, and repeatedly punching her, all designed to instill fear and submission.

Furthermore, Greenhill engaged in invasive and manipulative behaviors outside their home. He followed her in his vehicle, waited outside her workplace, and scrutinized her social interactions. The court also heard that he reported her to social workers and the Scottish SPCA, actions that added to her distress and isolation.

The sentencing has been deferred until July, with the sheriff warning that Greenhill faces the possibility of a custodial sentence due to the severity of his crimes. While his defense solicitor pointed out his limited criminal record, the court emphasized the seriousness of the conviction and the impact of his actions on the victim.
