JUSTIN HAMMERTON FROM CHURCH GRESLEY ADMITS TO MAKING OVER 700 CHILD INDECENT IMAGES AND MOVIES

In a serious case brought before the courts, Justin Hammerton, a 45-year-old resident of Church Street in Church Gresley, has confessed to producing an extensive collection of indecent images and videos involving minors. The allegations span a period of more than four years, during which Hammerton is accused of creating and possessing a significant number of illicit materials.

Hammerton appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court to face charges related to the production of indecent images and movies. The court proceedings revealed that he was responsible for the creation of over 700 such materials, with a detailed breakdown of the categories involved. Among the charges, Hammerton admitted to making 314 images and 23 movies classified as Category A, which is recognized as the most severe level of indecency. These images and videos involved children and are considered to be of the highest criminal concern.

In addition to these, Hammerton also pleaded guilty to producing 272 indecent images and a single indecent movie categorized as Category B, along with 273 photographs and two movies classified as Category C. These categories indicate varying degrees of severity, with Category A being the most serious. The court also noted that Hammerton was found in possession of an extreme pornographic image depicting a disturbing scene involving a person, a horse, and a dog engaged in sexual acts, which further compounds the gravity of his offenses.

The offences are alleged to have taken place within the boundaries of Church Gresley, with the timeline stretching from February 11, 2013, to June 14 of the current year. The case has been scheduled for sentencing at Derby Crown Court on November 23. Hammerton remains on conditional bail, with strict conditions imposed, including a prohibition on him associating with any child under the age of 16 unless accompanied by an adult. The court’s decision underscores the seriousness of the crimes and the potential consequences Hammerton faces upon sentencing.
