PAEDOPHILE JAILED FOR GROOMING AND ABUSING YOUNG GIRL
A man responsible for grooming and sexually abusing a vulnerable young girl over an extended period has been sentenced to sixteen-and-a-half years in prison today (Friday, 5 September 2025) at Manchester Crown Court.
The sentence followed a detailed investigation into the offences.
Junedh Ahmed (born 11 June 1999), of Shield Close in Oldham, Manchester, was convicted of 14 charges, including rape of a child under 13, taking explicit photographs of a minor, and compelling a child to partake in sexual acts.
His trial lasted three weeks and concluded on 26 July 2025, after which he was remanded into custody.
As part of his sentence, Ahmed is required to register as a sex offender for life and will be under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 20 years.
Additionally, he is subject to an ongoing restraining order preventing contact with the victim.
The investigation was initiated after the victim courageously disclosed the abuse to police officers at Central Park Police Station.
Detectives from the specialized safeguarding team conducted an extensive inquiry, which revealed a troubling pattern of grooming, manipulation, and sexual violence.
