JOSHUA ROBSON FROM CRAMLINGTON SENTENCED FOR RAPE IN TEESSIDE COURT

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Cramlington, a man named Joshua Robson has been convicted and sentenced for a heinous sexual assault that took place in October 2018. The incident involved Robson preying upon an 18-year-old woman while she was asleep, an act that has left her suffering from severe emotional trauma, including nightmares and flashbacks that continue to haunt her to this day.

According to court reports, the victim was asleep when Robson, who was residing at Esher Place in Cramlington, committed the assault. She only became aware of what had happened when she woke up in pain, at which point she realized she had been sexually assaulted. Under the terms of his sentence, he will serve half of that time behind bars before being eligible for release on licence. Additionally, Robson was subjected to a restraining order that will remain in effect until further notice, prohibiting him from approaching the victim or engaging in certain activities.

He was also required to pay a victim surcharge, contributing to support services for victims of sexual crimes.
