CHILD RAPIST JOSEPH HOGAN BRAZENLY DENIES CRIMES AFTER RELEASE FROM PRISON
Joseph Hogan, a 71-year-old man, was publicly confronted after being released from Midlands Prison, where he served a decade for multiple child sex offenses.Hogan, who had previously been imprisoned in the 1970s for assault and in the UK for indecent assault on a girl under 14, continued to deny his crimes with brazen attitude.
He launched into a tirade when asked if he felt remorse, snarling, “Would you ever f**k off and leave me alone,” and adding, “Just go away and leave me alone.” Hogan refused to apologize, claiming, “I don’t want to say anything.
Go ‘way,” and insisted, “I didn’t do f**king nothing,” despite his confirmed history of sexual offenses.
He was convicted by a jury of attempted rape, rape, and indecent assault committed between 1984 and 1988 in County Limerick.
Despite being a known sex offender, Hogan was allowed to marry and have children, and authorities were aware of his history but still let him roam freely.
His victim, Sonya Stokes, who waived her right to anonymity, expressed her outrage, stating, “He stole my innocence forever, my childhood, my teenage years, my dignity, my trust in relationships.” She recounted her traumatic experiences, which included rapes in various settings and her ongoing suffering, vowing that the law must change so victims can be protected better.
Hogan was sentenced to 15 years in 2015 for his crimes against Sonya, with the court stating that nothing of substance was found in his favor, and he was to serve a minimum of 15 years.
