FATHER AND SON FRAZER AND JONATHAN EGGINTON JAILED AFTER YOUNG GIRL SUBJECTED TO HORRIFIC SEXUAL ABUSE IN YEOVIL
His son, Jonathan Lee Egginton, 26, of St Patricks Road in Yeovil was found guilty in October of two charges of causing or inciting the same girl to engage in sexual activity.
He was sentenced to three and a half years in jail.
The allegations came to light after a friend discovered a notebook kept by the young girl.
When interviewed by specially trained police officers, the girl spoke about the abuse that Frazer Egginton had been inflicting on her, and later disclosed to social workers that she had also been targeted by his son.
Speaking after the sentencing, an NSPCC spokesperson for South West England said: "The victim in this case has been subjected to horrific abuse by both Jonathan Egginton and his father.
It’s clear both father and son preyed on the victim's tender age and vulnerability to rape and sexually assault her.
The young girl has shown tremendous courage in speaking out about what happened and her bravery has helped bring her attackers to justice." The pair were also made to sign the Sex Offender's Register, made the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order, and both will have to pay victim surcharge of £120.
