JOHN POLLOCK FROM PERTH CAUGHT IN BREACH OF COURT ORDERS AFTER PROPOSITIONING SCHOOLGIRLS IN ABERFELDY

A man with a disturbing history of inappropriate behavior has found himself back in trouble after breaching court-imposed conditions. John Pollock, a resident of Perth, was recently fined £200 for violating a strict court order designed to monitor his conduct following previous offenses.

In September, Pollock was added to the sex offenders register after he admitted to soliciting oral sex from two 15-year-old girls in Aberfeldy, a town in Perthshire, in April 2023. This admission marked a serious escalation in his criminal behavior, prompting the court to impose specific restrictions and supervision measures.

As part of his sentencing, the 61-year-old was placed under supervision for a period of one year, serving as a less severe alternative to immediate imprisonment. The conditions of his supervision were meant to ensure he remained compliant with legal requirements and to prevent any further misconduct.

However, Pollock’s troubles did not end there. Recently, he appeared before the court again, this time in Perth, where he pleaded guilty to failing to notify police about acquiring a new bank debit card. The breach occurred between December 28, 2024, and January 10 of this year, during which he neglected to inform authorities as mandated by his sex offender notification obligations.

During the hearing, Sheriff Clair McLachlan emphasized the importance of adhering to the conditions set forth by the court. She stated, “These conditions were put in place for a reason and they need to be complied with,” underscoring the seriousness of his failure to notify authorities about his financial change.

Pollock’s case highlights ongoing concerns about the monitoring and management of individuals with a history of sexual offenses, especially those who have been placed under supervision and notification requirements. His actions have once again brought attention to the importance of strict enforcement of court orders to protect the community and prevent further violations.
