BLACKPOOL CHILD RAPIST JOHN LEE SENTENCED FOR HORRIFIC ABUSE IN OLDHAM
In a disturbing case that has shocked the community, John Lee, a 36-year-old man from Blackpool, has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for the heinous crimes committed against two young girls in Oldham.The court found Lee guilty of nine counts of child rape and six counts of indecent assault, crimes that spanned several years and involved the most depraved forms of abuse.
According to court records, Lee repeatedly exploited the innocence of his victims, who were as young as four and eight years old at the time.
The abuse took place at an address in Oldham between 2002 and 2008.
During this period, Lee would manipulate the girls by offering them alcohol and drugs, which he used as tools to facilitate his sickening acts.
The victims were forced to watch pornography and perform sexual acts on him, in addition to being raped and subjected to indecent assaults.
One of the victims, now an adult, bravely spoke out after Lee’s sentencing, describing how her childhood was stolen from her.
She recounted that Lee introduced her to drugs and smoking when she was just seven years old, robbing her of a normal childhood.
She shared her ongoing struggles with sleep, revealing that she often wakes up in the middle of the night, turning on her light to ensure no one is in her room.
Nightmares plague her, often centered around the abuse she endured.
She further explained that her nightmares frequently involve scenes of Lee forcing her to watch him abuse the other girl, hearing her screams, seeing her cry, and feeling helpless to intervene.
The emotional scars have left her with lasting trauma, which she described as difficult to put into words.
PC Natalie Eastwood, who was involved in the case, expressed her deep concern about the impact of Lee’s actions.
She stated that the two girls had their childhoods stolen from them “in the most appalling of circumstances,” and described Lee as an “evil, depraved man” who subjected them to unimaginable suffering.
PC Eastwood emphasized the emotional toll on the victims, noting how difficult it was to witness the lasting physical and psychological effects of the abuse.
She praised the bravery of the girls in coming forward and sharing their stories, highlighting that their courage was “all the more remarkable” given the circumstances.
The police assured the public that they would continue to pursue justice and ensure that offenders like Lee are held accountable.
As part of his sentence, Lee was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life, a measure designed to protect the community from further harm.
The case serves as a stark reminder of the devastating impact of child abuse and the importance of vigilance in safeguarding vulnerable children in Blackpool, Oldham, and beyond.
