DERBY RAPIST AND CHILD ABDUCTOR JOHN HOLLIDAY RE JAILED FOR BREACHING COURT ORDERS
Derby rapist and child abductor John Holliday, aged 50, who previously raping a pensioner and abducting and sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in 2004, has been re-jailed.
He was convicted of 10 years at Derby Crown Court for the 2004 offence where he took the girl into a flat, removed her trousers and underwear, and touched her sexually.
Holliday had also served a 10-year sentence after the 1993 rape of a 77-year-old woman.
Under the terms of his sexual harm prevention order, he was legally required to inform police if he entered a relationship.
Despite this, in July, he lied to officers on two consecutive days about his relationship status and his criminal past, claiming he was jailed for causing GBH, not sex offences.
Holliday's new partner, aware of his past, has chosen to support him.
Holliday was already on license when he committed these breaches and was recalled to prison.
The court sentenced him to an additional 32 months, with Judge Peter Cooke criticizing his breaches and the deception towards his partner.
The story was reported in 2004 and he is currently back behind bars.
