NORWICH MAN ADMITS POSSESSING HUNDREDS OF EXTREME ANIMAL PORN IMAGES
A Norwich man has admitted possessing hundreds of illegal pornographic images involving animals, including horses and dogs.The 47-year-old also faces two separate charges of downloading indecent images of children, which were found when he was arrested in June 2023.
Appearing at Norwich Magistrates’ Court he pleaded guilty to possession of extreme pornographic images but did not enter a plea to making two category B and eight category C photos of a child.
Magistrates said the nature and number of images involving animals meant it was too serious for their sentencing powers.
They committed his case to be heard at Norwich Crown Court on April 22 after being told the starting point for the extreme porn charges was 12 months.
He was given bail with conditions not to have any contact with children and to make any internet-enabled devices known to the police.
