RELENTLESS ABUSER JASON PAUL JAILED FOR STALKING, ASSAULT, AND THREATS TO SHARE INTIMATE IMAGES
Jason Paul, 35, terrorised his girlfriend for a year as she repeatedly attempted to break up with him due to his violent and obsessive behaviour.
He dragged his frightened girlfriend across the floor and held her hostage in her own home until she agreed to take him back.
His campaign of terror included threats to share naked pictures, stalking, and a terrifying phone call threatening to "stab her, drive his car into her house and kill her son." He also engaged in physical violence, including restraining her, slamming her against a wall, barricading her in rooms, and pressing her throat during an incident in June 2023.
The woman reported multiple incidents of coercive control and violence, including an incident where he said he was "putting an end to it".
In January 2024, he pleaded guilty to threats to disclose a private sexual photograph, assault by beating, intentional strangulation, stalking, and sending electronic communications with intent to cause distress or anxiety.
Judge Matthew Happold sentenced him to 40 months in prison and issued a restraining order banning future contact.
