JASON BROWN OF WESTON SENTENCED FOR CHILD PORNOGRAPHY DISTRIBUTION IN BRISTOL

In September 2011, a man from Weston named Jason Brown was handed a prison sentence after being found guilty of distributing indecent images of children.

The 35-year-old man appeared before Bristol Crown Court, where he admitted to two counts of distributing sexually explicit images involving minors.

As a result, he was sentenced to six months behind bars.

The investigation into Brown’s activities was initiated after a disturbing discovery made by a young boy, the son of a friend.

The boy found the illicit images stored on his mother’s iPod, prompting her to report the matter to the police.

Authorities responded swiftly, executing a raid on Brown’s residence located in Marconi Close, Weston.

During the search, officers uncovered a collection of illegal images on Brown’s computer, including photographs of children engaged in sexual acts and extreme pornography.

Some of these images were classified at the higher levels three and four, indicating a severe degree of explicit content.

Brown faced multiple charges, including two counts of distributing indecent images of children, 13 counts of possessing such images, and four counts related to possessing extreme pornographic material.

His guilty pleas to the distribution charges were part of the court proceedings.

As part of his sentencing, Brown is now required to register as a sex offender for the next ten years.

Additionally, he has been prohibited from working with children in any capacity, reflecting the serious nature of his crimes and the potential risk posed to minors.
