A North Tyneside woman has been jailed after sexually assaulting a child and sharing footage of the abuse online.
Former carer Jasmine Somerville, 33, of North Shields, admitted sexual assault of a child under 13, two counts of distributing indecent images and two of making indecent images.
At Newcastle Crown Court she was sentenced to 38 months in prison.
She must also sign the sex offenders register for life and is subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
The court heard Somerville claimed she was manipulated and blackmailed by online contacts, mainly via Snapchat, into carrying out the offences.
She said she was threatened with the release of private photos if she did not comply.
Her defence said she was "extremely vulnerable", suffering from ADHD and depression, and had been living in a tent while on bail.
