MAN HAS BEEN SENT TO PRISON FOR A TWO-YEAR CAMPAIGN OF STALKING, FEAR OR VIOLENCE AND VIOLENCE AGAINST HIS WIFE
A man referred to as a violent thug was found guilty of placing a bin bag over his wife's head as part of a broader pattern of harassment and coercion, a court heard.During a sentencing session held at Truro Crown Court on November 13, it was revealed that Jamie Walker had sent numerous messages, emails, phone calls, and voicemails to his wife.
These actions constituted stalking and caused her significant alarm or distress.
Additionally, Walker threatened her with violence.
His campaign of harassment persisted for two years, beginning on January 1, 2023, and ending on January 15 of this year.
The incidents occurred at addresses in Bodmin and St Austell.
The court was informed that the 37-year-old, who now resides in Baker Street, Exeter, Devon, made multiple threats of violence and also physically harmed his wife on several occasions.
The most serious incident was in January two years ago, when he placed a large bag over her head, which had a serious impact on her well-being.
