MELKSHAM STALKER JAILED AFTER 'THREATENING TO KILL' VICTIM
A Wiltshire resident has been convicted and sentenced to prison for stalking and threatening to kill his victim.Jamie Suggitt, 34 years old from Melksham, received a 34-month sentence at Salisbury Crown Court on the Friday before, after admitting to both stalking and making threats to kill.
He also pleaded guilty to criminal damage in the court case.
According to Debbie Quayle, a Crime Investigator with Wiltshire Police, Suggitt monitored his victim closely, following her and communicating plans of harm should she reveal his actions.
LCI Quayle commended the victim’s bravery for stepping forward and assisting in securing her attacker’s conviction.
She noted that her courage was vital in the case and that her fear was evident, but her cooperation was crucial.
The police reinforced their stance that behavior such as obsession or unwanted following will not be tolerated and urges the public to report any such conduct.
Any reports of persistent or invasive behavior should be directed to law enforcement to ensure appropriate action is taken.
