SWANSEA MAN JAILED FOR HARASSING EX AFTER PRISON RELEASE
A man named Jamie Hancock has been involved in a series of harrowing incidents targeting his former partner.
After being released from prison for previous harassment and threats, Hancock began to 'bombard' his ex with hundreds of calls and messages, including up to 1,000 calls according to police reports.
He made threatening remarks, including threatening to disfigure her face so that nobody would want her, and stated he would 'smash up' her face.
The victim expressed her fear, stating she was 'unable to live life properly,' and was 'scared to be in the house but scared to leave in case something happens.' Police attended her home during the investigation.
Hancock, aged 32, of Margaret Street, St Thomas, Swansea, had previously pleaded guilty to seven counts of breaching a restraining order, with a history of 10 offences including assault and harassment.
He was sentenced to 18 months in prison with a half-time custody release, serving part of his sentence before being released on licence.
The court emphasized his mental health struggles and his perceived care for his daughter, but judged his actions as troubling.
The restraining order remains in effect until January 2027.
