CONVICTED RAPIST ON THE RUN AFTER ESCAPING OPEN PRISON
Rapist James Donoghue, who attacked a woman in her own home, was found after absconding from Leyhill prison.
He had been serving a life sentence for his crimes.
Donoghue was last seen at around 5pm after walking out of HMP Leyhill in South Gloucestershire.
He was caught by police on a train at Waterloo station in London.
Donoghue, aged 50, was sentenced in December 2009 for a serious sexual assault committed in Maidstone.
He had broken into a woman's home, taken degrading indecent pictures of her, sexually assaulted her, and raped her twice after she disturbed him during a burglary.
When sentenced, a judge ordered that he should serve at least 10 years before consideration of parole.
He was living in a Maidstone bail hostel before the attack.
Police described him as white, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of slight build, bald with blue eyes.
Authorities appealed to the public not to approach him and to call 999 if spotted, providing reference 5217147605.
