DUMFRIES PAEDOPHILE REMANDED INTO CUSTODY FOR MASTURBATING INFRONT OF CHILDREN

James Cunliffe has been denied bail after denying an allegation that he exposed his genitals and engaged in masturbation in front of three individuals, including a 15-year-old girl.

The 37-year-old is accused of committing the sexual act at Easterbrook Spa and Bistro on Bankend Street in Dumfries, on June 17.

It is alleged that Cunliffe, residing on College Way in Dumfries, pulled down his shorts and deliberately exposed himself in a sexual manner to the three witnesses before masturbating in their presence.

Following his plea of not guilty, a trial date was scheduled for July 23.

The prosecution opposed his bail application, resulting in the sheriff ruling that Cunliffe would remain in custody until the trial.
