2021: KIDDERMINSTER MAN JAILED FOR DRUNKEN ATTACK ON HIS DAD
A Kidderminster man, James Bulmer, aged 38, was jailed for eight months at Exeter Crown Court for breaking his father Gordon's arm during a drunken fight in a chalet at a Devon holiday park.Bulmer punched his father repeatedly on the balcony and attempted to throw his father’s partner over the railings when she tried to intervene.
His attack ended only when off-duty police officers staying at the same park witnessed the fight and intervened.
Bulmer’s father suffered bruising and a broken arm, believed to have occurred when he fell during the assault.
The family was staying at the Unison Croyde Bay resort in October.
Bulmer admitted affray and was also subject to a 12-week suspended sentence from a previous domestic harassment conviction, activated by this offence.
The judge described Bulmer as being in a blind rage and said he was in a complete out-of-control state, and recommended a £650 award to the officers who intervened.
