VILE PERVERT INCITED YOUNG GIRL TO HAVE SEX WITH HIM
A man who enjoyed dressing in women’s clothing and pushing his personal limits in sex was determined to have crossed the line when he encouraged a young girl to partake in sexual acts.Matthew James Bennie, 39, of the North Country near Redruth, stood before Truro Crown Court on Friday, May 10, after being found guilty in a March trial of two charges related to inciting a minor to engage in sexual activity with him.
The court was informed that Bennie had grown more daring in his sex life and had a tendency to wear women’s clothes.
On the day in question, Bennie asked the girl if she wished to perform oral sex and also requested that she hold a sex toy.
While no sexual act actually occurred between Bennie and the girl, the incident had a devastating impact on the victim, leading to the conclusion that only a prison sentence could adequately address the harm caused.
The victim’s mother provided a statement in court, describing her daughter’s altered state; her artwork had become darker, she was often angry, lost considerable weight, and was physically unwell.
The mother stated that the experience had eroded her daughter’s trust in others, particularly men.
According to defence attorney Rupert Taylor, Bennie was a responsible family man with a good reputation at work, and emphasized that there was no actual sexual intercourse.
Judge Timothy Kenefick sentenced Bennie to four years behind bars and ordered a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
In addition, Bennie is mandated to register as a sex offender and is banned from working with children.
