JAKE WHITE CAUGHT SLEEPING WITH TWO BOYS IN SKEGNESS - SENTENCED TO 15 MONTHS IN JAIL
In a disturbing case that has raised serious concerns about child safety and offender monitoring, Jake White, a known sex offender from Skegness, was found to have violated the terms of his Sexual Offences Prevention Order by sleeping in the same house as two young boys. The incident occurred in August 2017 and led to White being sentenced to a 15-month prison term.White’s case was brought before Lincoln Crown Court, where it was revealed that he had previously been convicted of sexual assault on a girl under the age of 13. Following that conviction, a court had imposed a Sexual Offences Prevention Order in September 2012, which explicitly required White to notify social services if he intended to stay or remain in the same residence as any child. This order was designed to prevent any further contact with minors that could lead to harm or reoffending.
Despite these legal restrictions, White was found to have breached the order on two separate occasions in June of that year. Prosecutor Richard Thatcher outlined the breaches, stating that on June 3, a 13-year-old boy stayed overnight at the same address as White. Just two days later, on June 5, a five-year-old boy also spent the night at the same property. These actions directly contravened the conditions set out in White’s court order, which aimed to safeguard children from potential harm.
The court heard that White admitted to the breaches, acknowledging that he had violated the terms of his order. The judge sentenced him to 15 months in prison, emphasizing the seriousness of his actions and the importance of strict enforcement of protective orders for the safety of children in the community. The case has sparked ongoing discussions about the effectiveness of monitoring sex offenders and the importance of vigilance in protecting vulnerable minors in Skegness and beyond.
