A man described as a 'dreadful' ex-boyfriend was convicted of attacking, harassing, and tormenting his two former partners.

Hareece Ali, residing on Bendall Road in Kingstanding, white was sentenced to five and a half years in prison at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday, July 18.

He pleaded guilty to two counts of harassment and three counts of assault.

His first victim endured a severe campaign of abuse, during which Ali cut a section of her hair, threatened to throw acid at her, and sent over 1,000 messages within just one week, leaving her feeling shattered.

Ali’s behavior extended to his second partner, during a brief and unhappy relationship.

There, he pressured her to give him thousands of pounds, assaulted her twice by punching, and made threats to bury her on the beach.

While serving time for burglary, Ali continued to harass his first victim using an illegal phone from prison.

After his release in March 2021, he was briefly detained again for misconduct toward her.

He later showed up uninvited at her home on June 20, 2021.

Prosecutor Rob Forrest revealed that Ali, despite being wanted by police for an earlier threat to cut her long hair, continued his harassment through numerous social media accounts and phone numbers, bombarding her with over 1,000 messages in a single week.

He warned her that going to jail was not an option and urged her to watch her back.

Following these events, Ali began a short relationship with a second woman from July to November 2022.

The woman, who had received a sizable injury payout from a car accident, claimed Ali pressured her into spending about £30,000 on him, including purchasing two vehicles.

In a disturbing act, Ali sped past her accident site, deliberately speeding up and releasing her seatbelt.

He also threatened her female friends and children, and upon her refusal to share her friend’s address, he punched her multiple times, causing a split lip.

Throughout their turbulent relationship, Ali physically assaulted her in a park, in a confrontation over food thrown at her dog, and threatened to cut her hair.

He also damaged her property by smashing her front window with a nitrous oxide canister and assaulted her in front of her young niece.

On one occasion, Ali asked his friend to take him to Bournemouth with the intention of digging her grave on the beach, claiming he had police contacts and had tracked her even though she was in witness protection.

A particularly disturbing incident happened on October 17, 2022, when Ali filmed himself and the woman in a car.

He ordered her to strip, then proceeded to punch her in the face and stomach so forcefully that she vomited.

He then locked her inside the vehicle and threatened to detonate an explosive to blow it up.
