ABERDEENSHIRE MAN ORDERED TO STAY AWAY FROM EX AFTER SEXUAL HARASSMENT CAMPAIGN
An Aberdeenshire man named Grant Rennie has been mandated to stay away from his former partner after being convicted of a six-month campaign of abuse.Court proceedings revealed that Rennie, aged 27 and residing on Oak Crescent, Westhill, repeatedly bombarded his ex-girlfriend with graphic sexual images and messages following their breakup.
The abuse occurred between October 2019 and April 2020, during which Rennie sent numerous sexual photos of her, including intimate images taken during their relationship.
He also demanded she send further sexual images and tried to handle her sexually inside her home by gaining entry and making suggestive remarks.
Additionally, Rennie sent messages describing her appearance.
Despite his lawyer Neil McRobert stating his client had adhered to bail conditions, the court imposed a non-harassment order for twelve months, ordered him to complete 120 hours of unpaid community work, and placed him under supervision for a year.
Sheriff Morag McLaughlin emphasized that Rennie was not to approach or contact his ex-girlfriend by any means, including attempting to enter her address.
