In a landmark case that has sent shockwaves through the community of Old Colwyn and the wider North Wales region, Gordon Anglesea, a former police superintendent, has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for heinous child sex offenses.
The conviction, delivered at Mold Crown Court, marks the culmination of a lengthy and arduous legal process that uncovered decades of suppressed allegations against the 79-year-old man.
Anglesea was found guilty of one count of indecent assault against a single boy and three counts of indecent assault against another, with all offenses occurring between 1982 and 1987.
