KEITH DOMESTIC ABUSER BACK IN COURT FOR BREACHING COURT ORDER YET AGAIN
A man named Glen Wilcox, aged 39, from Den Crescent, has been brought before Elgin Sheriff Court to admit to multiple charges of domestic abuse. The court session revealed that Wilcox and his partner had an on-and-off relationship spanning 23 years, during which they also had one child together.
Prosecutor Victoria Silver stated that Wilcox had once again unlawfully entered his partner's house in June 2023, claiming there were no bail restrictions stopping him from being there, which led the partner to invite him inside.
However, at that time, Wilcox was subject to a non-harassment order, which he then breached, resulting in charges.
The court heard that Wilcox punched his partner twice in the stomach, and during a June 16, 2023 incident, he forcefully closed a window, breaking the glass and causing distress to their daughter.
In October 2022, Wilcox had previously punched his partner in the stomach again, which prompted their daughter to call emergency services; recordings of the call include the partner stating that Wilcox had punched her in the face.
Defense lawyer Graham Mann mentioned ongoing civil proceedings and that bail conditions remained in effect.
The sheriff imposed a new non-harassment order prohibiting Wilcox from contacting his partner for the next three years and instructed him to return to court for sentencing on October 19.
Wilcox is therefore scheduled for sentencing after admitting to the domestic abuse charges and violating the court order.
