GARY GREEN FROM WINDSOR JAILED FOR CHILD SEX ABUSE LIVE STREAMS IN PHILIPPINES

In a disturbing case that has shocked the community of Windsor, Berkshire, a man named Gary Green has been sentenced to prison for his involvement in facilitating the live-streaming of child sexual abuse in the Philippines. The investigation, carried out by the National Crime Agency (NCA), uncovered a series of heinous activities carried out by Green, who was arrested in October 2017.

Green, aged 58 and residing on Foster Avenue in Windsor, was found to have made ten separate payments totaling approximately £219.75 to individuals in the Philippines. These payments were specifically used to fund the live-streaming of sexual abuse involving children in that country. The NCA's investigation revealed that Green was actively involved in arranging and paying for these illegal acts, which included children as young as nine years old.

During the search of Green’s electronic devices, authorities recovered three indecent images of children, along with a substantial amount of online chat logs. These logs detailed Green’s explicit interest in children and his direct involvement in coordinating the live-streams. The chat conversations also included specific requests from Green regarding how the abuse should be carried out, indicating a disturbing level of premeditation and intent.

Financial records and chat logs confirmed that Green paid a woman in the Philippines to facilitate the abuse of a nine-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy. The evidence showed that Green was not merely a passive viewer but actively engaged in orchestrating these criminal acts, demonstrating a clear pattern of predatory behavior.

In November 2020, Green pleaded guilty to seven charges, including attempting to facilitate a child sex offence and possessing indecent images of children. His guilty plea marked a significant step in the legal process, bringing some measure of justice for the victims involved.

On Thursday, January 14, at Reading Crown Court, Green was sentenced to three years and four months in prison. The court also imposed a sexual harm prevention order to restrict his future activities and ordered that he be placed on the sex offender register for life, ensuring ongoing monitoring of his conduct. This case underscores the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat online child exploitation and bring offenders to justice, especially those who exploit vulnerable children across international borders.
