On November 1, 2019, he was convicted at Manchester Magistrates’ Court of one count of sexual communication with a child.
The case was further processed at Minshull Street Crown Court, where the sentencing took place on November 29, 2019.
As part of his punishment, Garry Ware was sentenced to nine months in prison, though this sentence was suspended for 18 months, meaning he would not serve time unless he committed another offence within that period.

He was also ordered to perform 120 hours of unpaid community work, emphasizing the seriousness of his actions.
To monitor his compliance and restrict his movements, Ware was fitted with an electronic tag for three months, which would be active from 8pm to 6am daily.
The court also imposed a financial penalty in the form of a £140 victim surcharge and issued a certificate of conviction that remains valid for five years.
Furthermore, Garry Ware was subject to an indefinite restraining order, preventing him from contacting or approaching the victim, and a barring notice was also issued to restrict his presence in certain areas or activities.
